I am on day 5 and I've awful hives! It started out with an ichy head, then neck, suddenly I put ichy hives along my body. I haven't been using any nicotine replacement but I used to be put on welbutrin about 3 weeks ago to help give up and raise my ambiance. I went to the ER becauae it was so intense plus they want me to stop the medication. I cant find a great deal of information on hives and nicotine withdrawl. How common is this? I must say i dont want to avoid the medication since it is helping much.
I've stop smoking double now in about a calendar year and am now in regards to a month nicotine free. I've done it both times by heading cold turkey and as all smokers know going right through nicotine withdrawals is crap but if you can tough it out for three days you above the worst. Three days and nights torture for a lifetime of pain relief is a smart choice, so exercise, drink a lot of water, snack, therapeutic massage anything to keep your mind occupied over this three day period and you'll be over the most detrimental.
